1. About us

These terms apply to all purchases made on theplacewelove.com, operated by The Place We Love. By placing an order you agree to these terms. Questions? Email info [at] theplacewelove.com.

2. Products

We offer two types of products:

• Digital download — a high-resolution print-ready PDF (300 DPI) of your personalized city map poster, available for immediate download after payment.
• Printed poster — your personalized map professionally printed on museum-quality archival paper or canvas, shipped to your address.

All products are fully personalized to your specifications (city, style, size, personal text) at the time of order.

3. Ordering

An order is placed when you complete checkout and payment is confirmed. You will receive a confirmation email at the address you provided. For digital downloads, the download link is included in this email. For print orders, production begins immediately upon confirmation.

We reserve the right to cancel an order if we are unable to fulfill it, in which case you will be fully refunded.

4. Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in the currency you select (USD, EUR, or GBP). Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes where required. Shipping costs, if any, are shown at checkout before payment.

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards and any additional payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is collected in full at the time of order.

5. Digital downloads

Digital downloads are delivered as a PDF file accessible via a link sent to your email address after payment. The download link is valid for 30 days. If you experience a technical problem accessing your file, contact us at info [at] theplacewelove.com within 14 days.

No refunds on digital downloads. Because digital files are delivered immediately and cannot be returned, all sales of digital downloads are final. This is in accordance with EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(m) and equivalent regulations.

The downloaded file is licensed for personal, non-commercial use only. You may print it for yourself or as a gift, but you may not resell, redistribute, or publish it in any form.

6. Print orders

Print orders are produced and shipped within 2–4 business days. Delivery times depend on destination; estimated delivery windows are shown at checkout and are indicative only.

No changes after checkout. Because production begins immediately, we cannot accept changes to design, size, personalization, or delivery address after an order is placed. Please review your order carefully before confirming.

Shipping. Shipping is free on orders of €70 or more (or equivalent). For smaller orders, a flat shipping fee is calculated at checkout. We ship to a range of countries as shown at checkout. You will receive a tracking link by email once your order ships.

Customs and import duties. For deliveries outside the EU, customs duties or import taxes may apply. These are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our prices.

7. Damaged or incorrect orders

If your print arrives damaged or is incorrect, email us at info [at] theplacewelove.com with a photo of the issue within 14 days of delivery. We will arrange a free replacement. We do not offer refunds for print orders; replacements are our remedy for defective products.

8. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

For standard (non-personalized) products, EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive. However, because our products are made to your personal specifications, the right of withdrawal does not apply under Article 16(c) of the Directive. By placing an order you acknowledge and agree to this.

Digital downloads are also excluded from the right of withdrawal once the download has been accessed, per Article 16(m).

9. Intellectual property

The map designs, website content, and branding of The Place We Love are our intellectual property. The underlying map data is sourced from open geographic databases. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any part of this website or its content without our written permission.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the purchase price of the order in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or circumstances beyond our control.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of our place of business.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The updated version is effective from the date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of our service constitutes acceptance.
